Responsibilities

• Greets and assists patients and the public over the phone in a professional manner
• Provides information and directions internally and externally
• Operates switchboard and communication systems
• Handles emergency procedures including calls, overhead announcements, and alerts
• Performs paging and electronic notifications
• Completes additional tasks as assigned
• Works within a 24/7 communication center and must be flexible with shifts

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required
• Minimum 2 years of customer service experience
• Basic computer, keyboarding, and telephone skills required
• Strong attention to detail, memory, and concentration
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills
• Ability to work independently and handle high-pressure situations
• Preferred: vocational training or prior switchboard/telephone operator experience

Schedule

Evening/overnight shifts (8-hour shifts)

Typical hours include 1:00pm–9:30pm, 2:30pm–11:00pm, or 10:45pm–6:45am

Includes every other weekend and holidays
