About the Role
Ramsey County is seeking a Social Services Deputy Director to lead Continuous Quality Improvement within the Children and Family Services Division. As a member of the department’s executive leadership team, this position oversees quality assurance, workforce development, statutory compliance, and system-wide improvements to strengthen child welfare and family services.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead continuous quality improvement initiatives across Children and Family Services.
• Strengthen compliance with state and federal child welfare laws, regulations, and county policies.
• Oversee workforce development, staff training, onboarding, and quality assurance programs.
• Collaborate with community partners, tribes, state agencies, and service providers to improve outcomes.
• Develop and implement policies, procedures, and strategic initiatives that promote equitable and culturally responsive services.
• Direct division operations, manage resources, and evaluate program effectiveness.
• Represent the department with elected officials, community organizations, and the public.
• Support long-term organizational planning, legislative implementation, and service improvements.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related field.
• Seven years of progressively responsible experience in social services supervision, program management, or administration.
• At least two years of experience in a public or private social service agency.
• Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.
