This role leads Mayo Clinic’s Enterprise Automation program, overseeing a portfolio of initiatives focused on robotic process automation, artificial intelligence, and digital workflow solutions. The Senior Program Manager sets program direction, establishes governance, and ensures alignment with organizational priorities while delivering measurable outcomes. This position works closely with executive leadership, clinical and operational teams, and technical staff to drive large-scale automation efforts. The role requires strong leadership in complex environments, translating technical concepts into actionable strategies while supporting innovation and continuous improvement across the organization.


Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the enterprise automation program and portfolio
  • Set program direction, governance structure, and reporting processes
  • Oversee multiple projects and workstreams, ensuring alignment with organizational goals
  • Manage scope, schedule, budget, quality, and risk across initiatives
  • Supervise and develop teams including analysts, architects, and project managers
  • Communicate progress, outcomes, and value to executive stakeholders
  • Coordinate across teams using Agile and hybrid delivery methods
  • Support decision-making, remove blockers, and resolve conflicts
  • Lead change management efforts and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Track performance, benefits realization, and return on investment


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Information Technology, or related field with extensive experience, or Master’s degree with 7 to 10 years of experience
  • Minimum of 18 years of experience may substitute for degree requirements
  • Active PMP certification required
  • Experience leading large, complex enterprise programs
  • Strong understanding of program management principles including scope, schedule, and risk
  • Experience leading and developing teams
  • Strong communication and executive presentation skills
  • Experience with Agile methodologies such as Scrum, SAFe, or Kanban


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in a related field
  • PgMP or Agile certifications
  • Experience in healthcare automation or digital transformation
  • Experience with automation platforms such as UiPath, ServiceNow, Microsoft Power Platform, or Epic
  • Knowledge of healthcare operations and systems


Additional Information:

Full-time position with remote work eligibility

Monday through Friday schedule

No international assignment


Pay Type: Salary

Compensation: Starting at $141,024 per year

Location: Rochester, MN (Remote Eligible)
