Position Overview
The City of Saint Paul is hiring a Project Management Technician to support planning initiatives, development proposals, land use activities, and community planning projects. This role works closely with planning staff, city partners, developers, and community stakeholders to help coordinate and track projects.
Main Responsibilities
- Track project timelines and planning activities
- Support development proposals and land use applications
- Collect, organize, and report project data
- Coordinate meetings and public engagement activities
- Assist with planning communications
- Respond to questions from community members and developers regarding planning processes and requirements
- Ensure projects align with city policies, ordinances, and codes
Required Qualifications
Either:
- Associate’s Degree in:
- Public Administration
- Urban Planning
- Community Development
- Economics
- Business Administration
- Public Policy
- Finance
- Related field
OR
- Two years of experience in:
- Planning
- Housing
- Community development
- Economic development
- Project/program administration
