About the Opportunity

Knutson Construction is seeking an experienced Project Executive – Healthcare to lead large-scale healthcare construction projects and drive operational excellence within its Healthcare Market Sector. This senior leadership role provides oversight of construction operations, project management teams, and project administration activities while ensuring successful project delivery, financial performance, quality, safety, and client satisfaction. The Project Executive serves as a key relationship manager for clients, design teams, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders while helping expand Knutson’s healthcare construction portfolio through business development and industry engagement.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and promote Knutson’s Zero Incident Safety Culture.
• Oversee construction, project management, and project administration activities within the Healthcare Market Sector.
• Manage and mentor Project Managers, Superintendents, and Project Support staff.
• Maintain strong relationships with owners, architects, subcontractors, and project stakeholders.
• Ensure successful project execution related to budget, schedule, quality, and risk management.
• Lead project financial oversight, contract administration, and dispute resolution efforts.
• Oversee subcontractor management and self-perform construction activities.
• Support design-phase execution, constructability reviews, and technical problem-solving.
• Collaborate with business development teams to secure new healthcare construction opportunities.
• Participate in industry events, networking activities, recruiting efforts, and career fairs.
• Support employee development, staffing strategies, and performance management.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Four-year degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Construction Science, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 10–15 years of experience leading large commercial healthcare construction projects.
• Advanced knowledge of estimating, project administration, construction operations, accounting, sustainability practices, and industry standards.
• Experience managing Project Managers, Superintendents, and support personnel.
• Strong understanding of project financial management, risk mitigation, scheduling, and quality control.
• Excellent leadership, communication, relationship-building, and organizational skills.
• Strong computer proficiency and construction management software experience.
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams and successfully deliver complex construction projects.
