This role focuses on building and managing relationships with external healthcare providers to increase referrals to Mayo Clinic. The position involves analyzing market and referral data, developing strategic outreach plans, and acting as a primary contact for providers. The Physician Liaison works to grow business opportunities by promoting services, maintaining strong partnerships, and supporting organizational growth through targeted sales and relationship management efforts.


Responsibilities

  • Analyze market and referral data to identify potential provider relationships
  • Develop and maintain relationships with referring physicians and healthcare organizations
  • Serve as the primary sales representative for external provider relationships
  • Conduct field sales visits, calls, emails, and outreach activities
  • Communicate Mayo Clinic services and clinical capabilities to external providers
  • Manage territory activities including meetings, visits, and outreach strategies
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through cold-calling and networking
  • Act as a resource and point of contact for external organizations
  • Report account activity and business development results to leadership
  • Maintain knowledge of services, insurance plans, and clinical specialties
  • Travel up to 50% for meetings and outreach activities


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, healthcare, communications, or related field
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in healthcare, sales, marketing, or customer relations
  • Strong communication, relationship-building, and time management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple initiatives and strategies simultaneously
  • Sales and account management experience preferred
  • Ability to develop knowledge of clinical services and healthcare systems
  • Valid driver’s license required

Location: Rochester, MN (Hybrid)

Salary: $85,467.20 – $128,252.80 per year
