About the Role
The City of Saint Paul’s Human Resources Department is seeking a temporary, part-time Office Assistant II to support the Workers’ Compensation Unit. This position provides administrative and clerical support to assist with workers’ compensation claims processing and record management.
Schedule
- 20 hours per week
- Flexible schedule between 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday–Friday
Key Responsibilities
- Review workers’ compensation documents for accuracy and request missing information.
- Enter claim information into department systems.
- Assist claims adjusters by opening claims, researching information, and providing administrative support.
- Perform data entry and maintain accurate electronic and paper records.
- Sort and distribute incoming mail.
- Support daily office operations within the Workers’ Compensation Unit.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- Two years of clerical or administrative experience.
- Substitution: Two years of post-secondary education related to administrative work may substitute for the required experience.
- Strong organizational, data entry, communication, and administrative skills.
