About the Role

Mayo Clinic is seeking a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join its Classical Hematology team. In this role, you’ll care for adult patients with nonmalignant hematologic conditions, providing comprehensive assessments, diagnosis, treatment, and long-term management while working alongside world-renowned specialists.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess, diagnose, and manage acute and chronic benign hematologic conditions.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
  • Educate patients and families on treatment plans and disease management.
  • Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary care teams to deliver exceptional patient care.

Qualifications

For Nurse Practitioners:

  • Master’s degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
  • Current Minnesota RN license.
  • Certification as an FNP, ANP, or ACNP.
  • DNP preferred.

For Physician Assistants:

  • Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
  • Current NCCPA certification.
  • Minnesota PA licensure.

Additional Requirements:

  • Eligible for DEA registration.
  • Current BLS certification.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Hematology experience or completion of an APP Hematology Fellowship preferred.
