Overview

Manages HealthPartners’ Medicare and Medicaid provider network relationships, contracting strategies, reimbursement models, and compliance operations.

Responsibilities

  • Develops and manages Medicare and Medicaid provider network strategies aligned with organizational goals and regulatory requirements.
  • Builds and maintains relationships with healthcare providers, vendors, and strategic partners.
  • Negotiates provider contracts, reimbursement methodologies, and value-based payment agreements.
  • Oversees provider contract implementation, maintenance, compliance, and operational support.
  • Performs financial analysis, fee schedule management, budgeting support, and utilization monitoring.
  • Leads projects related to Medicare and Medicaid service improvements and provider partnerships.
  • Collaborates with internal departments including claims, quality management, operations, pharmacy, and government services.
  • Supervises provider relations staff, including mentoring, performance management, and operational oversight.
  • Investigates and resolves provider concerns, contract issues, and care delivery challenges.
  • Supports strategic planning and compliance with CMS, DHS, and regulatory standards.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business administration, or related field.
  • Minimum seven years of healthcare industry experience.
  • Minimum three years in provider relations or provider administration.
  • Management and leadership experience required.
  • Strong analytical, financial modeling, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage provider relationships effectively.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Medicare and Medicaid provider contract negotiations.
  • Experience with provider network development and reimbursement methodologies.
  • Strong financial systems background.
  • Additional experience in specialized healthcare network development preferred.
