This role is responsible for leading and executing strategic communication efforts that support Mayo Clinic Health System’s business priorities. The position focuses on managing internal and external communications, coordinating public relations efforts, and strengthening relationships with community stakeholders. The Communications Manager works closely with leadership and cross-functional teams to develop messaging strategies, enhance organizational visibility, and support engagement across diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Manage communications strategies that support organizational goals and business priorities
• Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams to plan and execute communication initiatives
• Develop and implement internal and external communication plans
• Support public relations campaigns and manage local reputation efforts
• Collaborate with community relations teams to strengthen partnerships and outreach
• Provide executive communication support and assist with staff engagement initiatives
• Align messaging with organizational strategy and stakeholder needs
• Monitor and evaluate communication effectiveness and outcomes

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, marketing, or related field
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in communications or public relations
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to develop and execute strategic communication plans
• Experience managing cross-functional teams and multiple projects
• Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Experience working with executive-level leadership preferred
• Project management and change management experience required

Salary: $121,846.40 – $176,696.00 per year
