Ever-Green Energy is seeking a full-time Loader and Grinder Operator responsible for operating biomass processing equipment including wheel loaders and wood grinders. This role supports the receiving, storage, processing, and loading of biomass fuel used at St. Paul Cogeneration.

The position works closely with the Biomass Fuel Site Supervisor and assigned crews to maintain efficient operations, support environmental compliance, and ensure workplace safety. Employees are expected to uphold Ever-Green Energy’s mission by leading with integrity and contributing to an inclusive workplace culture.

Responsibilities

• Operate wheel loaders and wood grinders to process and load biomass materials.
• Support the receiving, storage, and transportation of biomass fuel products.
• Perform daily preventative maintenance, cleaning, and equipment logging.
• Assist with troubleshooting and corrective maintenance activities.
• Maintain site conditions including grading, rut repair, and dust control.
• Support inventory, facility organization, and routine cleaning activities.
• Ensure safety policies and environmental permit requirements are followed.
• Assist vendors and customers with unloading materials in designated areas.
• Communicate professionally with customers, vendors, and the public.
• Open and close the facility and oversee daily operations when assigned.
• Work independently and collaboratively with team members.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least one year of experience operating a wheel loader or similar heavy machinery.
• Ability to safely and effectively operate industrial equipment.
• Strong communication, decision-making, and teamwork skills.
• Dependable work ethic with adaptability to changing conditions.
• Valid driver’s license and clear driving record required.
• Preferred qualifications include formal training or experience in industrial equipment operation and working knowledge of wood grinders.

Payment

Hourly pay range: $27.79 – $31.28 per hour.

Physical duties may include sitting for extended periods, operating machinery controls, climbing stairs, lifting up to 50 pounds, standing, walking, crouching, kneeling, and other physical activities related to equipment operation and site maintenance.
