About the Role
The City of Saint Paul Office of Technology & Communications (OTC) is seeking an IT Operations Coordinator to provide operational, administrative, and business support to the Office of the Chief Information Officer (CIO). This role works closely with technology leadership, Human Resources, Finance, and City departments to help coordinate projects, business operations, and technology initiatives that support services for residents and employees.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily operations for the Office of the CIO, including calendars, meetings, agendas, and follow-up activities.
- Support technology project intake and workflow coordination.
- Maintain business, project, staffing, financial, purchasing, and operational records across multiple systems.
- Coordinate hiring and onboarding activities, including tracking recruitment and position requests.
- Assist with purchasing, procurement, invoice processing, and spending requests.
- Prepare reports, presentations, executive correspondence, and meeting materials.
- Maintain organizational charts, operational documentation, and shared resources.
- Identify opportunities to improve administrative processes and operational efficiency.
- Help ensure business information remains accurate, organized, and accessible.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in:
- Public Administration
- Urban Planning
- Information Systems
- Management
- Business Management
- Or a closely related field.
- A combination of education and experience totaling four years or more may substitute for the degree requirement.
- Some positions may require a valid Minnesota Class D driver’s license.
