Workplace & Culture:
Work Style: Full-time (40+ hours per week). Primarily in-person at the St. Paul office as appropriate. This position requires availability to respond to occasional requests outside normal hours, including evenings and weekends, to address emergencies and meet business needs.
Compensation and Benefits:
The anticipated salary range for this position is $80,000–$115,000 per year. Actual compensation will be based on experience, education, skill level, and other factors.
Benefits include pay for additional hours worked above weekly base hours, paid holidays, Paid Time Off (PTO) with rollover, mobile device reimbursement, complimentary on-site parking, medical and dental insurance, Health Savings Account (HSA), Dependent Care Flexible Savings Account (DCFSA), short- and long-term disability, life and AD&D insurance, Employee Assistance Programs, and a 401(k) plan with matching and profit-sharing after one year. Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership, task management, and development of IT support staff.
- Maintain and improve technology infrastructure, including workstations, servers, on-premise and cloud data, network systems, and security systems.
- Provide expert-level support and administration for the Microsoft 365 (M365) ecosystem.
- Ensure optimal performance of key software platforms including Bentley OpenRoads Designer, Autodesk Civil 3D, Bluebeam Revu, Asana, Bentley ProjectWise, Esri ArcGIS, and HydroCAD.
- Manage relationships with external vendors, including the IT managed service provider.
- Develop and enforce IT policies that balance security, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
- Support the use of Microsoft Copilot and other AI-enabled tools to enhance productivity and project delivery.
- Provide responsive, service-oriented IT support to team members.
- Ensure staff have the necessary tools and resources to perform effectively.
- Maintain clear documentation and scalable procedures.
- Oversee internal IT operations and coordinate with other departments.
- Manage the IT budget to ensure effective resource allocation.
- Develop and maintain IT contingency plans to ensure secure operations.
Qualifications:
- 7+ years of IT leadership experience, preferably in civil engineering, AEC, or consulting environments.
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in a related field strongly preferred.
- A+ and Microsoft 365 certifications preferred.
- Strong background in end-user support, IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, and Microsoft 365.
- Working knowledge of civil engineering and CAD software is preferred.
