Key Responsibilities
Provide one-on-one homeownership counseling including financial planning, budgeting, credit building, debt management, and foreclosure prevention. Develop personalized financial action plans and conduct pre-purchase, post-purchase, refinance, and foreclosure-intervention counseling. Facilitate first-time homebuyer workshops, including Home Stretch certification courses. Coordinate workshop logistics and ensure completion requirements for down-payment assistance programs. Maintain accurate client records and CRM documentation. Conduct community outreach and represent NeDA at events. Build and maintain relationships with lenders, Realtors, and community partners. Support program compliance and administrative reporting as needed.
Qualifications
HUD Housing Counselor Certification, Certified Homestretch Educator, or Certified Foreclosure Counselor required. 4–6 years of customer service experience or an associate’s degree. Experience in housing counseling, lending, real estate, financial coaching, or related field. Strong knowledge of credit, budgeting, and financial literacy. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems. Strong communication skills and ability to work with diverse communities.
Compensation
$55,000 annual salary plus $2,000 one-time hiring bonus.
