This role is responsible for delivering timely and accurate estimates to support profitable project acquisition and successful preconstruction planning.

Responsibilities:

Self-Perform

• Prepare accurate takeoffs for trade services work
• Quantify concrete, masonry, demolition, and carpentry using 2D and 3D software
• Assist with pricing labor, materials, and equipment

Project Work

• Prepare estimates for small projects
• Lead lump sum bidding for small to mid-size projects
• Develop cost analyses including labor, materials, equipment, and general conditions
• Analyze bids in collaboration with estimating and operations teams
• Solicit subcontractor bids professionally
• Support pursuit of negotiated projects with senior estimators
• Develop quantity takeoffs and cost models using estimating software
• Prepare documentation for milestone estimates
• Assist with subcontractor analysis and buyout processes
• Participate in project interviews when needed

Additional Responsibilities

• Attend post-project reviews to analyze performance and improve future bids
• Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders
• Strengthen subcontractor relationships
• Communicate key issues and opportunities to senior estimators
• Deliver a strong customer experience
• Continuously develop professional skills
• Identify training and development opportunities
• Support the use of technology within the estimating team
• Complete additional assigned duties
• Participate in required safety training

Education and Experience Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or related field with 0 to 5 years of experience

Or Associate’s degree in a related field with 3 or more years of experience

Location: Minneapolis, MN

Salary: $78,000 to $122,000
