This role is responsible for delivering timely and accurate estimates to support profitable project acquisition and successful preconstruction planning.

Responsibilities:
Self-Perform
- Prepare accurate takeoffs for trade services work
- Quantify concrete, masonry, demolition, and carpentry using 2D and 3D software
- Assist with pricing labor, materials, and equipment
Project Work
- Prepare estimates for small projects
- Lead lump sum bidding for small to mid-size projects
- Develop cost analyses including labor, materials, equipment, and general conditions
- Analyze bids in collaboration with estimating and operations teams
- Solicit subcontractor bids professionally
- Support pursuit of negotiated projects with senior estimators
- Develop quantity takeoffs and cost models using estimating software
- Prepare documentation for milestone estimates
- Assist with subcontractor analysis and buyout processes
- Participate in project interviews when needed
Additional Responsibilities
- Attend post-project reviews to analyze performance and improve future bids
- Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders
- Strengthen subcontractor relationships
- Communicate key issues and opportunities to senior estimators
- Deliver a strong customer experience
- Continuously develop professional skills
- Identify training and development opportunities
- Support the use of technology within the estimating team
- Complete additional assigned duties
- Participate in required safety training
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Strong planning, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Collaborative and positive attitude
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to travel to job sites and perform site reviews
- Ability to sit for extended periods working on a computer
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed
Education and Experience Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or related field with 0 to 5 years of experience
Or Associate’s degree in a related field with 3 or more years of experience

Location: Minneapolis, MN
Salary: $78,000 to $122,000
