About the Role
The City of Saint Paul’s Office of Technology and Communications is seeking two End User Computing Specialists to provide frontline IT support for City employees. This customer-focused role supports hardware, software, and end-user technology while ensuring employees have the tools they need to work efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and resolve ServiceNow incidents and service requests.
- Provide Tier 1 technical support for hardware, software, operating systems, VPN, network connectivity, passwords, and peripherals.
- Configure, deploy, replace, and support laptops, desktops, tablets, smartphones, and related devices.
- Assist with IT asset management, including inventory tracking and equipment lifecycle.
- Support Microsoft 365, Teams, web browsers, and other enterprise applications.
- Follow IT security procedures, including multi-factor authentication and password support.
- Document troubleshooting steps and resolutions within the ticketing system.
- Escalate complex issues to specialized IT teams when necessary.
Qualifications
- Six months of technical school plus one year of technical/operations experience, or
- Two years of experience in a technical or IT operations environment.
- A valid Minnesota Class D driver’s license may be required.
- Strong customer service, troubleshooting, communication, and organizational skills.
