About the Role
Ramsey County is hiring an Eligibility Specialist Supervisor to lead a team within the Financial Assistance Services Division. This leadership position oversees eligibility specialists and support staff while ensuring the effective delivery of financial assistance programs, compliance with regulations, and continuous improvement of department operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise, train, mentor, and evaluate Eligibility Specialists, Program Assistants, and administrative staff.
• Oversee daily operations, assign workloads, and ensure compliance with federal, state, and county regulations.
• Analyze program data, identify trends, and prepare reports to support staffing and operational planning.
• Develop tracking systems and maintain workload standards.
• Serve as a liaison with community organizations, public agencies, and service providers.
• Assist staff with complex client situations and coordinate referrals to appropriate services.
• Respond to client inquiries and complaints.
• Represent the department at hearings, committee meetings, and community events.
• Recommend policy, procedural, and legislative improvements.
• Participate in automation projects and help improve business processes.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree from an accredited college.
• Six years of experience, including:
  • Four years as an Eligibility Specialist or Eligibility Specialist Senior (or equivalent government financial/medical assistance eligibility experience).
  • Two years of clerical, customer service, or client service experience.
• Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.
