Position Summary:

Northeast Contemporary Services, Inc. (NCSI) is seeking Direct Support Professionals to assist adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in building independence and improving quality of life. This role focuses on teaching life skills, supporting community engagement, and providing direct care in a structured, supportive environment.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in planning and delivering activities focused on life skills, communication, safety, health, and personal enrichment.
• Support clients during community outings, volunteer activities, and employment settings.
• Provide direct care, including mobility assistance, hygiene support, meal preparation, and medication administration.
• Encourage independence, self-advocacy, and social inclusion.
• Implement safety procedures and positive behavior support strategies.
• Maintain accurate documentation of client progress and services provided.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience supporting individuals with disabilities or in community-based programs preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
• Ability to pass a DHS background check.
• Reliable transportation to job location.
