This position serves as the organization’s Salesforce subject-matter expert and data steward, ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and usability of constituent and gift data across the organization. The role is hands-on and operational, focusing on Salesforce data governance, reporting, list management, gift entry oversight, and staff training. The Database Manager works closely with fundraising, program, and operations teams to ensure data is clean, well-structured, and reliable for decision-making, donor communication, and compliance. This is not an IT or software development role, but rather ideal for someone who enjoys managing data, reports, and best practices in a mission-driven environment.

Responsibilities:

Salesforce Data Stewardship and Governance

• Serve as primary Salesforce administrator and data steward
• Maintain data quality through monitoring, cleanup, and duplicate management
• Document data standards and procedures
• Partner with national organization to implement required updates and standards

Reporting, Lists, and Data Requests

• Build and maintain reports and dashboards for staff and leadership
• Create and manage mailing and email lists for campaigns and events
• Ensure proper use and interpretation of reports
• Respond to data and reporting requests

Gift Entry Oversight

• Oversee gift entry processes for accuracy and timeliness
• Review data batches for quality and compliance
• Support and supervise Gift Entry Specialist
• Enter and process in-kind gifts

Training and Internal Support

• Serve as Salesforce expert for staff
• Provide training, documentation, and support
• Help staff understand data entry standards and best practices
