Salary: $90,916.80–$126,651.20 annually
About the Role
The City of Saint Paul is seeking a Business Intelligence Developer to join the Office of Technology and Communications. In this role, you’ll design and maintain data solutions that help City departments make informed decisions through reporting, analytics, dashboards, and enterprise data infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain the City’s data warehouse and reporting environments.
- Develop and manage ETL processes and data pipelines.
- Write, troubleshoot, and maintain SQL code.
- Create reports, dashboards, and data visualizations that support City operations.
- Collaborate with departments to understand business needs and deliver data-driven solutions.
- Manage enterprise data and metadata to ensure security, quality, and accessibility.
- Support business users with training, data literacy, and business intelligence best practices.
- Promote a strong data-driven culture across City departments.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Management, Computer Technology, or a related field and four years of related experience; or
- Technical school certificate with six years of related experience.
- A combination of education and experience totaling eight years may also qualify.
- Experience with:
- Business analysis and project definition
- SQL development
- Data warehouses and ETL processes
- Reporting and analytics tools
- Valid Minnesota Class D driver’s license may be required.
