Description:

This role serves as a Business Healthcare Librarian supporting the information needs of Mayo Clinic staff across business, management, and government areas. The position provides expert-level research and reference services, helping leadership and staff access and interpret business and healthcare information to support decision-making. The librarian collaborates across teams, develops relationships with stakeholders, and delivers clear, concise summaries of complex data. This role also contributes to collection development, library services, and ongoing improvement of information resources while supporting both experienced professionals and learners.

Responsibilities:

• Provide expert-level reference and research services to staff and leadership
• Gather, analyze, and summarize business and healthcare information
• Respond to information requests and deliver concise reports
• Develop relationships with business leaders to support decision-making
• Collaborate with library staff across the organization
• Support collection development and library resource management
• Participate in library committees, projects, and strategic planning
• Contribute to policy development and service improvements
• Manage or support library services, archives, or systems as needed
• Supervise staff or manage projects when applicable

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in library or archival science from an accredited institution
• Minimum of 10 years of relevant professional experience
• Experience in health sciences, research, or business libraries preferred
• Strong knowledge of business, legal, and government information resources
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
• Commitment to ongoing professional development

Preferred Qualifications:

• Professional certifications such as AHIP or similar credentials
• Additional advanced degree in a related field
• Experience with scholarly publications or presentations
• Participation in professional organizations or committees

Must live within driving distance of a Mayo Clinic campus
