Responsibilities:
- Assist in organizing project cost information to support financial performance
- Collaborate with project and estimating teams to understand project scope
- Develop bid packages and solicit subcontractor bids
- Support site logistics planning, scheduling, and RFP development
- Participate in interviews for new project opportunities
- Assist in developing and managing construction schedules
- Review cost reports and help resolve budget variances
- Participate in monthly financial projections
- Identify and help manage project risks
- Review contracts and identify potential risks or exposures
- Coordinate with field teams to review plans and specifications
- Assist in developing strategies to address subcontractor issues
- Support and enforce safety policies and practices
- Support and enforce quality control and assurance standards
- Lead project meetings and assist with project closeout
- Conduct on-site project reviews
- Build and maintain relationships with owners, design teams, and subcontractors
- Deliver a strong customer experience
- Support company visibility through community involvement
- Participate in the RFP process
- Build and use professional networks
- Assist with hiring and onboarding processes
- Communicate expectations and support team performance
- Provide input on employee performance and development
- Identify training and development opportunities for team members
- Participate in required safety training
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management software
- Understanding of construction project management processes
- Basic knowledge of safety, quality, and constructability
- Knowledge of subcontracting and bid processes
- Basic understanding of permitting processes
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or related field with at least 4 years of commercial construction experience
- Or Associate’s degree in a related field with at least 7 years of commercial construction experience
- Construction-related certifications and training preferred
