Role Overview
Mayo Clinic is seeking a part-time Urology Technician – Female to support patient care across inpatient and ambulatory settings at the St. Marys and Methodist campuses in Rochester, Minnesota. This role involves providing urinary catheterizations, bladder scanning, urinary drainage tube irrigations, and patient education related to self-catheterization and home care procedures.
The Urology Technician works independently while responding to patient care calls throughout the hospital system and transporting a mobile supply cart between locations. Responsibilities
- Provide urinary catheterizations and urinary drainage tube irrigations for patients.
- Perform ultrasonic bladder scanning procedures.
- Reinforce home-going education related to self-catheterization and urinary drainage tube irrigations.
- Respond to patient care calls in inpatient and ambulatory settings across the St. Marys and Methodist campuses.
- Transport and manage mobile medical supply equipment between assignments.
- Maintain aseptic techniques and support safe patient care practices.
- Adapt to changing workloads and work independently in fast-paced healthcare environments.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous healthcare education or healthcare experience preferred.
- Hospital or medical background preferred.
- Ability to work independently and manage fluctuating workloads.
- Knowledge of basic computer skills and aseptic techniques required.
- Must maintain Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross. Certification may be completed during orientation if not already obtained.
- This is a female team member position.
Payment
Hourly pay range: $22.73 – $32.26 per hour.

Schedule
Part-time position.
40 hours per pay period.
0.5 FTE with 8.5-hour rotating shifts.
Rotation between:
Day shift: 6:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.
Evening shift: 2:00 p.m. – 10:30 p.m.
Every other weekend and every other holiday required.
Location
Rochester, Minnesota.
On-site position at Mayo Clinic’s St. Marys and Methodist campuses.
