Role Overview
Mayo Clinic is seeking a full-time Manager – Practice Operations to provide operational and administrative leadership across multiple clinical departments and specialty practices in Rochester, Minnesota. This leadership role partners with physicians, scientists, nursing leaders, and administrative teams to support daily operations, strategic initiatives, innovation, automation, and process improvement efforts aligned with Mayo Clinic’s Bold. Openings are available in several practice areas including Primary Care, Transplant Center, Dermatology, Urology, Pulmonary/Critical Care/Allergy & Sleep Medicine, Radiology, and Cardiovascular Medicine. Managers oversee multidisciplinary teams, operational performance, quality improvement initiatives, workforce development, financial stewardship, and strategic transformation projects.
Responsibilities
- Lead operational and administrative functions in alignment with departmental and organizational strategic priorities.
- Partner with physician, nursing, allied health, and administrative leaders to improve practice operations and patient care delivery.
- Support transformation, innovation, automation, and AI-enabled operational solutions across clinical practices.
- Lead multidisciplinary teams focused on operational excellence, quality improvement, and process optimization.
- Develop and implement strategic initiatives, workflow redesigns, and practice improvement projects.
- aManage operational workflows, staffing assignments, budgets, and resource planning.
- Support staff engagement, workforce development, coaching, mentoring, and performance management.
- Drive standardization efforts and implement best practices across departments and service lines.
- Facilitate financial analysis, data-driven decision making, regulatory compliance, and operational sustainability.
- Build collaborative relationships internally and externally to support Mayo Clinic goals and patient-centered care initiatives.
- Participate in enterprise workgroups, strategic planning initiatives, and cross-functional leadership teams.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree with at least 1 year of relevant experience required, or Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of relevant operational leadership experience required.
- Experience must demonstrate competency in:
Leadership and team management
Healthcare operations
Financial management
Communication and collaboration
Process improvement
Change management methodologies - Strong project management, operational excellence, and strategic planning skills required.
- Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and implementing operational improvements preferred.

Payment
Annual salary range: $105,060 – $157,643 per year.

Full-time position.
80 hours per pay period.
Standard Monday–Friday daytime schedule.
